On Saturday, April 23, 2005, Commissioner Suffredin, together with the North Branch Restoration Project and Friends of the Morton Grove Forest Preserves, sponsored a workday at Linne Woods in Morton Grove in celebration of Earth Day. Thirty-five individuals participated in the workday that largely focused on removing European buckthorn from an oak woodland.
