Suffredin Honored by the City of Evanston for his Community Support Tuesday, October 11, 2005 Special to suffredin.org Cook County, Illinois. The City of Evanston honored Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin (13th District) for his commitment and contributions to the City’s Annual CommUNITY Picnic. The award was presented to Commissioner Suffredin on October 10, 2005 during the City Council meeting. The award was presented by Evanston Police Chief Kaminski & Ms. Paula Haynes, Evanston Human Relations Director. The CommUNITY Picnic is an annual back-to-school event sponsored by the City of Evanston Human Relations Commission and the Evanston Police Department. This year’s picnic was held on August 28, 2005 at Ingraham Park. Commissioner Suffredin commented, “I was deeply honored to receive this recognition from the City of Evanston. The CommUNITY Picnic is a great community and family event and I am delighted to be able to support it.”
