Chicago, Illinois. November 7, 2005.  Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin (13^th District) wants to remind residents in Niles Township that the Board of Review is currently accepting property tax appeals for 2005 for those property owners who are not satisfied that their assessment is accurate.  The deadline for Niles Township residents to submit appeals to the Board of Review is December 2, 2005.

Residents who did or did not file an appeal previously are encouraged to do so if they think their property was over assessed.  Property owners with questions on the Board of Review appeal process are encouraged call Commissioner Suffredin’s Evanston District office at 847-864-1209 with questions or to schedule individual appointments to answer questions.  Information on the appeal process can be found on the Board of Review website at www.cookcountyboardofreivew.com.
