Suffredin Announces Public Hearing on Forest Preserve District Budget at Skokie Courthouse
Chicago, Illinois. November 9, 2005. Forest Preserve District Commissioner Larry Suffredin wants to encourage 13th District residents with comments or suggestions on the Fiscal Year 2006 Forest Preserve District of Cook County Budget to give testimony at the public hearing scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the 2nd District Courthouse, conference room 201, 5600 Old Orchard Road in Skokie, Illinois.
Commissioner Suffredin commented, “This is an important opportunity for residents to participate in the budget process and provide the Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners and District staff with feedback and recommendations on the budget. It is also an opportunity for residents to make suggestions on programs and projects that should be prioritized and funded by the District.”
Persons wishing to testify may register in advance with the Secretary of the Forest Preserve District or when they arrive at the hearing. Each speaker will be limited to three (3) minutes. Speakers are requested to submit thirty (30) copies of any written statement to the Committee prior to speaking.
