Forest Preserve District of Cook County Commissioners Larry Suffredin (13th District) and Gregg Goslin (14th District) are pleased to announce that they will join volunteers for a workday in Somme Woods in Northbrook on Saturday, April 22, 2006 in celebration of Earth Day.
WHAT: EARTH DAY WORKDAY
DATE: SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2006
TIME: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WHERE: SOMME WOODS in Northbrook; the entrance to Somme Woods is on the north side of Dundee Road, just east of Waukegan Road. Volunteers will meet near the picnic pavilion and will walk to the work site.

Details: Volunteers are welcome to participate for as long as they wish. All equipment and supplies will be provided. The site is often muddy in the spring; please dress accordingly. We’ll be working rain or shine.

The Board of Commissioners of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County passed a resolution on April 6, 2006 proclaiming April 22, 2006 Earth Day in Cook County.
