Forest Preserve District of Cook County Commissioners Larry Suffredin (13th District), Gregg Goslin (14th District) and Pete Silvestri (9th District) invite you to a workday in Bunker Hill Forest Preserve on Saturday, April 19, 2008 in celebration of Earth Day.
WHAT: EARTH DAY WORKDAY
DATE: SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2008
TIME: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WHERE: BUNKER HILL FOREST PRESERVE in Chicago; the entrance to Bunker Hill is on Caldwell Ave. between Devon Ave. and Touhy Ave. Volunteers will meet near the picnic pavilion and will walk to the work site.

Details: Volunteers are welcome to participate for as long as they wish. All equipment and supplies will be provided. The site is often muddy in the spring; please dress accordingly. We'll be working rain or shine.

“April 22, 2008 is the 38th Anniversary of Earth Day and I am pleased to help organize the Bunker Hill workday in recognition of this important annual event,” commented Commissioner Suffredin.
“The exciting story behind the turnaround of the Cook County Forest Preserve District is the dedication of so many volunteers – those who work in all kinds of weather to do what most of us dread doing in our own backyard,” commended Commissioner Goslin.
An Earth Day celebration featuring refreshments, nature walks and exhibits that will be held at Bunker Hill Forest Preserve immediately after the workday, from 12pm – 3pm.
