Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, D-13th, recently announced the launch of a comprehensive Cook County legislative library accessible on his Web site, www.suffredin.org.

The library is the first of its kind for Cook County government and includes all ordinances passed or proposed by the Cook County Board since Suffredin took office in December 2002.

The library also offers Cook County residents an increased opportunity to become involved in the legislative process. Features such as ordinance summaries and bill tracking allow users to gain appreciation of an ordinance's content and scope as well as become aware of the status of the ordinance within the legislative process. Suffredin will add his commentary on select legislation, giving users a view of the commissioner's position.
