The Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center Expands its Management Team
In its continuous effort to bring the best talent, skills and leadership qualities to its facility, the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (“JTDC”) is pleased to announce the addition of four (4) Deputy Executive Directors (“DED”) to its Leadership Team.
§ Teresa Abreu, a former Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney, is the Deputy Executive Director of the Division for Administrative Services and Chief Legal Counsel. Ms. Abreu has an extensive background in labor/management and human resources.
§ Willie Fullilove is the Deputy Executive Director of the Division for Resident Daily Life. Mr. Fullilove has worked in the Detention/Residential Field for over 11 years.
After a national search, Millicent McCoy and Philippe Magloire were added to the Leadership Team.
§ Ms. McCoy previously served as the Assistant Superintendent of Operations with the
Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice. She is the Deputy Executive Director of the Division for Admissions, Security & Control Transportation and Facility Management.
§ Mr. Magloire has worked in youth and adult corrections for over 24 years, and most recently served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Office of Juvenile Justice, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is the Deputy Executive Director of the Division for Programs & Professional Services.
This formidable team is applying their vast knowledge and skill in advancing the JTDC’s mission of providing leadership and structured care and supervision to youth in our temporary custody through a balanced approach of creative programs and services that teach responsibility, accountability and sensitivity to oneself, family and community.
About the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center
The Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, located at 1100 S. Hamilton in Chicago, provides temporary secure housing for youth in conflict with the law, who are awaiting adjudication by a Juvenile Court of the Circuit Court of Cook County. The Center also provides care for youth who have been transferred from the Juvenile Court jurisdiction to Criminal Court, who would otherwise be incarcerated in Cook County Jail.
