A Cook County Sheriff’s deputy has been charged with aggravated drunken-driving in the death of a man Sunday in Franklin Park, authoritiez said.

Jamie O’Malley, 37, who records show has been a sheriff’s deputy since 2003, was expected to appear in Maybrook Branch Court today in connection with the death of Marcial Marias-Quevedo, 41, of Franklin Park, according to police and prosecutors.

Marias-Quevedo was hit by a 2011 Dodge 1500 pickup driven by O’Malley about 1:40 a.m. Sunday near Mannheim Road and Minneapolis Avenue in the west suburb, according to police. The car was headed south on Mannheim just south of Belmont Avenue when the truck hit Marias Quevedo, police said in a news release.

Marias-Quevedo, who police say lived in the 3000 block of Prairie Street in Franklin Park, was pronounced dead about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the scene on Mannheim Road, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday for Maris-Quevedo, she said.

Authorities did not release a hometown or address for O’Malley, who has most recently worked in the sheriff's court division.
