POTENTIAL RE-USE OF OLD COOK COUNTY HOSPITAL BUILDINGWednesday, December 10, 2003
Special to suffredin.org I am very disappointed with the report on the redevelopment of the Old Cook County Hospital building issued today by Mr. Michael LaMont recommending demolition of the old Hospital. The County has frustrated potential developers by not issuing a proper RFP as it indicated it would. I will continue to fight on the Board to develop a proper re-use of the Old Cook County Hospital building which, I believe will bring much-needed added revenue to the County. I also will use all legal processes at the City of Chicago and in the courts to stop demolition.
