The event will take place at the Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center (8400 W. 31st Street, Brookfield, IL) on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9am – 1pm.
The Summit will provide new and existing vendors with the opportunity to learn about contracting opportunities with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Cook County, the Brookfield Zoo and the Chicago Botanic Garden, and to network with other local business owners.
Potential vendors are asked to RSVP to Patrice.daniels@cookcountyil.gov by Monday, July 22, 2013.
In September 2012, the Forest Preserves established a new program to address the underuse of minority and women-owned businesses with respect to procurement contracts with the District. This new initiative is significantly benefitting the residents of our County by increasing the pool of qualified minority and women-owned businesses that have the opportunity to be selected for contracts awarded by the District each year.
