Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, 13th District, is accepting applications for internship positions. College students interested in learning about County government, public service, and community affairs are encouraged to apply. All internships are unpaid and interns will be primarily assigned to the Commissioner's District offices located in Evanston and Chicago.

Commissioner Suffredin commented, "I am excited to provide an opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge and learn skills that will serve them in their future work." A variety of opportunities exist for interns including working on Forest Preserve District issues, assisting with programming and outreach efforts done in conjunction with local, state and federal elected officials, and working with local residents to address issues of concern.
