Grand Opening Ceremony for Swallow Cliff Pavilion, Second Stair Set

WHAT: Please join Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Commissioner Sean M. Morrison, and Forest Preserves of Cook County General Superintendent Arnold Randall for a grand opening ceremony celebrating the Swallow Cliff Pavilion and second set of fitness stairs.

The Swallow Cliff Pavilion offers indoor rental space, a warming shelter and restrooms, as well as the Swallow Cliff Café where visitors can purchase a variety of grab-and-go snacks and beverages. The stairs at Swallow Cliff have long been a popular exercise destination, and visitors can now complete a circuit using 293 total steps.

The public can also participate in a Wellness in the Woods event to enjoy

both the physical and mental health benefits of spending time in nature. Attendees can participate in a relaxing yoga session or an energetic circuit training series, as well as get tips on nutrition to supplement a healthy lifestyle.
