West Nile Test results

The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District has received TaqMan RT-PCR test results from the State of Illinois, indicating positive West Nile Virus mosquitoes were found in the following villages:

Evanston - Light Trap - Collected June 16

Glencoe - Light Trap - Collected June 16

Niles - Gravid Trap - Collected June 20

This is the first incidence of positive West Nile Virus mosquito pools in Glencoe and Niles.
