Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin (13th District) wants to alert New Trier Township residents to look for their reassessment notices from Cook County Assessor Jim Houlihan after November 29th.

"Citizens will have a 45 day appeal period once the notices are mailed on November 29th. The Assessor and I will hold a local property tax seminar to explain the assessment process and to assist property owners with their appeals," Suffredin stated.

The actual date, time and location of the seminar will be announced next week.

"My district office located at 820 Davis in Evanston will be able to answer questions concerning the appeal process," Suffredin added. I encourage constituents to call the office at 847-864-1209 to speak with one of my staff members or schedule an individual appointment.

Information on the assessment process is available on Assessor Houlihan's website at www.cookcountyassessor.com.

"Please carefully read your reassessment notice and watch the media for other information that will protect your property and save you tax dollars," Suffredin reminded citizens.
