Northfield Township Property Tax Appeal Assistance

Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, 13th District, announces that a member of his staff will be available to assist Northfield Township homeowners individually with the property tax assessment appeal process on Tuesday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Village of Northbrook Public Library.

Interested taxpayers should contact Commissioner Suffredin's office at 847-864-1209 to request an appointment. Appointments will be available between 2:00 p.m.. and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Village of Northbrook Public Library, 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, Illinois.

Taxpayers are encouraged to bring their assessment notices with them to the appointment.

As a reminder, Northfield Township homeowners have 45 days from the date reassessment notices were mailed to appeal if they have doubts about the accuracy of their assessment. The deadline for filing appeals with the Cook County Assessor's office is December 14, 2004.

Commissioner Suffredin's district office, 820 Davis Street, Evanston, is open to assist taxpayers in person, Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Assistance on Saturday mornings is available by appointment only.

The Northfield Township Assessor's office is also available to assist taxpayers. The Northfield Township Assessor's office can be reached at 847-724-8300.
